My elantra has 130,000 miles, runs good with the exception of the engine stopping. Doesnt matter if I'm sitting at a light or just driving. the engine just stops. doesnt slow idle and stall, just quits. have had a mechanic check and can't find anything. nothing shows on the computer readings either. any ideas?

 

And it starts back up after it cools down a bit ??

Replace the crank position sensor.

 

No, it starts back up immediately. no hesitation, runs excellent except for that.
