Looks like more of a job than the car is worth. Removing the crash pad isn't bad but the evaporator/heater core case is behind and pinned by the cowl cross bar assembly. Nothing whatsoever in the shop manual about removing or replacing the evaporator. Nice representation of the case but not a word about replacement. Looks to me like the steering wheel and heater/AC unit (as well as a lot of wiring and connectors) attached to this bar is installed together through a front door at final assembly with a crane. Anyone actually replaced an evaporator in an older (07) Elantra?
