I have a 1997 Hyundai Elantra GLS with a bad transmission. I would like to either rebuild or replace the transmission, but I want to make sure I Know exactly what model transmission I have. I read that there were several models of transmission used in the 1997 Elantra. Does anyone know where I can find the transmission model number? I've looked all over the transmission, but can not find a model number plate. Thank you for your help.
