HELP! problem with New clutch installed, gear shifter alignment?
2003 Hyundai Elantra manual transmission. Clutch replacement. Mechanic says I can just start in 2nd? What does this mean what would be the mechanism for this? He also said he might have tightened something two tight he looked as though this was a huge project
I started test driving car, stalled out a lot... The gear shift seems unaligned (no clear distinction between 1st and second - 3rd and 4th gears) - almost like the whole gear shift component is not aligned correctly and pushed to the right.
Car has a burning smell as well. I can't find first, the gear shifter seems as though its in 3rd. I am not a mechanic and don't understand the whole mechanism. But, they rushed to finish the car in 5 hours.
What does it mean to bleed a line? Could not bleeding a line cause air? Also, is this bad?
Can someone explain whats going on? the shifting smooth after 3rd?? (i cant find 1st or second so I don't know.) , the clutch is very easy to press. What should I tell the mechanic?
