Ive been having this problem when I put the key in to start the car thekey is stuck in the lock position, and im unableto start the car. I once got it out of the lock position and could start the car but then couldnt get the key back in the lock position to turn off the car. To me it sounded like an ignition switch but I replaced it and then new (used) one did the same thing. Im soooo lost any idea's?

 

I think there is an interlock cable that keeps you from pulling the key out while it's in gear; could be the cable is bad.
