hello all,

my daughter has a 2012 elantra gls purchased new. it now has 45,000 miles. over the last 12 months the check engine light has come on twice. both times the dealer said it was nothing but a software update. the day after her last visit to the dealer, the check engine came on again! she set another appointment and then the check engine light went off for 4 days. now on day 5 it is on again!. she is scheduled back to the dealer this friday. what the heck is going on here? any ideas? thanks!

What are the codes that are setting off the CEL?

 

they haven't given her any. they simply state it is a software update.

 

brought in to dealership today. they say it was an O2 sensor. replaced under warranty. thanks for responding, nova.
