Just bought a 2012 Elantra. Love the car, but am frustrated that I can only control my ipod Classic through the radio. The ipod itself lights up with the Hyundai logo, and won't let me access it's controls. Is there any way to override this? The radio controls work, but I find them much slower and more cumbersome than using the actual ipod.

 

My wife drives the 2011 and is able to use all the functions of a Sansa Fuse MP3 player.
Yep. We thought we needed to buy an IPod and found out that the MP3 player worked just like an Ipod using the USB cable.
