I am in the process of trying, my engine died and it cost me $8k to replace it. Even though my car qualifies, they're trying to get me on the technicality that I didn't get an official quality check after the engine was installed (I got it done at a third party dealer). And since I sold the car already, there's no way I can get that done. So long story short, I just need to know if anybody went through that process, and what they were actually giving at the dealership. I hate to bend the rules, but i'm going to try to fake one if i can. That 8k drained all the savings i have.
