Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default New Member 50K miles questions

As you can see from the title and my name, I have a 2011 Elantra that is approaching 50K miles. I did some unsuccessful searching for either a sticky or other threads that had this type of info but cannot really find what I am looking for.... so here goes...
What preventative maintenance should I be doing on this car as it approaches 50k that might save the motor, transmission, or anything else? What I mean is, for example, I was reading on a truck forum that around XXX miles if you do not change out the transmission mount it will fail and probably crack/break one or both exhaust manifolds, which is a time and money costly thing - as opposed to changing the 20 dollar transmission mount, which will take about 20 minutes. I have really done nothing to this car other than change the fluids regularly, and keep her shiny for my GF. Oh, yeah, put tires on it but that's not really what I'm looking for. Is there a timing belt I should be looking at changing, some service that I should have Hyundai do, etc. I've offered her a new car but she likes her Elantra, so I just want to keep it on the road. Any help is greatly appreciated!
