Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default Rear Window Defroster

03 Elantra. The rear window defroster only works at the top and bottom not in the middle. Any ideas on what is going on. I have no clue. I have checked all of the fuses and all are good. Thanks In Advance Nick

The wires themselves have discontinuties. I think they sell something at auto parts stores that can be used to bridge the gaps. You have to look for the gaps in the defroster wires in the rear window and patch them up. You might have to remove the trim around the window to get to all the traces.

I once had the same problem on another car. As it happened, after I noticed the problem, my rear window got busted and the rear glass was replaced under the full glass replacement part of my car insurance. The defroster on the new glass worked fine. Now, I wouldn't advise you to *purposely* break your window, but hey.... accidents happen......!
