Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Unhappy side windows mist

I just drove my new 2009 Elantra in a humid rain for the first time. The side windows misted up so badly that I really couldn't see anything from any side except the rear passenger window. I couldn't even see out the side view mirrors unless I opened the windows. It was very scary and I couldn't figure out how to clear them up. I tried opening the windows a little with defrosters on and off. I think I tried everything I could think of. Any ideas?

The defrost uses the A/C but you have to give it time to work. Make sure the vent is open and not set to recirculate.

the air conditioning was on, air was coming out of the vent, and the recirculate button was not lit. Is it time to take it in already? I've only had it two weeks

If you think the recirculation is not working, then yes take it in. Lots of times there are little bugs to be worked out in a new car.

It is the vents near the window. You need to turn them so that they do not blow on the window. I have the same problem everytime it rains. The passeger side vent is not easy to reach from the driver's side while driving. The cold air on the window is like a cold drink.
