Default Another newbie question about breaking in the engine

My car has less than 300 miles on it and this weekend, I'm thinking of taking 5 adults in it to Napa Valley for the day - so that will include freeway and some winding road driving. Is that asking to much with 5 adults? (None of us are what you'd call large people - but still - adults.)

I'd make that trip without a second thought or worry.

Vary the speed, do not drive at one speed for too long and do not push thr RPM above 5,000 for the first 600 miles is the advice I was given.

I believe there's actually a section in the manual on break-in, as well.
