Today when I drove up to a gas station to fill up, when I press the pump lever, it just pops back out, indicating the tank is already full. But I know the tank is empty because the low gas light is on. I move to another pump and tried again. Similar problem - I can press the pump lever for about 10second before it pops back out. I have had this problem before and I thought it was due to a faulty pump. But now it is looking more like it is a car problem. Has anyone seen this problem before? or know how much it will cost to fix? The car is a 2011 model and had 42000km on it. I also had some problem with the gas cap not popping out, dealer fixed it twice by lubing a cable, not sure if this is related.
