Default Elantra Touring Struts

Have a 2011 Touring, but wondering if the struts can be changed to softer ride. Wife has a medical condition that with the vehicle having a stiffer ride causes uncomfortable ride. Wondering if I could change the struts for a softer ride.

Struts don't really affect the ride, it's the springs that will have a greater affect. Also, what wheels are on the car? 17" or 16"? Going to 16" (or even 15") with a taller sidewall tire will also soften the ride.

In all honesty, you can't expect a soft cushion ride on any sub-compact car. They pretty well all have stiff ride on rough roads.
