Default My Touring

Hey guys. I finally had a chance to set up the virtual garage for my new Touring. Please take a look at it here: https://www.hyundaiforum.com/forum/g...ielritter.html

I'll post some videos later too.

Thanks a lot. I was having those same issues uploading pictures. If you have a high resolution camera that may be your problem. Try resizing to like 50% of the original size, and then uploading one at a time. That seemed to do the trick for me.

Looks good. The muffler, did you install, aprox cost, did it help milage?
New bulbs. Can you tell the dif? Where did you get them?
Cold air intake. Did you install? Cost? Did it help milage?
Sorry if I'm asking questions that already has been discussed.

1) Muffler cost about $30 shipped; $50 to install muffler and chrome tip.
2) Bulbs are a very true white color; obviously not brighter because they are just the normal osram/sylvania halogens with a film. Only one place sells tinted bulbs in the h11b, and it's a Korean exporter on eBay that I located (keywords "original osram h11b").
3) I installed the intake myself.

As far as mileage is concerned, I cannot detect any gains. I think the weather conditions in Cincinnati this winter would have more of an impact compared to an intake + muffler combo. Hope this helps, let me know if you want to know anything else.

Did you use any special K&N Apollo System? The reason I ask I see different numbers?
I remember using them on my BSA. Hmm that was a thousand years ago.

From what I found researching, the different model numbers reflect the different colors available. I went with the black one because it's not too bright and was cheaper for some reason.

Hi, guys. After doing a bit of pondering on the topic, I decided to go ahead and remove the small post-cat resonator on my exhaust and replace with a straight pipe. The end result is actually a quieter note (go figure) compared to with the Thrush turbo alone. It sounds great with no drone at highway speeds and no interior resonance on accel/decel.

I have also made a few exterior modifications (see my garage for list), but weather hasn't been cooperative enough recently for me to snap some pictures. Pics are forthcoming though. Will keep you posted. In the mean time I posted a short clip below that lets you hear my exhaust, post-resonator delete, revving. Enjoy!

Just in case any body is interested, I have posted some new pictures showing my fiberglass grille, i30 badging, and some other stuff. Feel free to check out my garage and comment!

Technically, the Elantra Touring is not an i30. The i30 is a smaller car. You need i30cw badges.
