Default New Touring

My wife's Dark Gray, A/T Touring is about two weeks old (500 miles) and with the exception of a couple of minor irritating items it looks like a winner. The speedometer numbers and needle are difficult to see in daylight and the lack of a rear bumper protector are about the only two things of concern.

NVH plus steering/handling/brakes are right on - no issues there.

Have yet to see another Touring on the streets of Las Vegas but I know a few are out there. To date this is a nice Forum for Touring / i30 information and driver's input.

Yeah, I have to turn on parking lights a lot to see the speedometer. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I found that with polarizing sunglasses I could not read the speedometer and the radio screen too well. I switched to non-polarized sunglasses with a slight gradiant and have no problems now.

They still have UVA and UVB protection so I do not feel too bad. (I got them at Bed Bath and Beyond for $9.99) They looked like they were once advertised on TV. They still work well

just bought a new Touring on Friday (auto, base model, carbon grey). we are really happy with our purchase. anyway, neither the wife nor I have problems reading the speedometer or other dials with polarized sunglasses. she has amber colored and I have grey lenses.

Wonder if driver position could have some effect? Right now I am high because I injured some muscles so have a thick cushion.By the way, even with the cushion there is still tons of head room.

I have a carbon gray with the PS package. I also wear polarized glasses and can see the speedo just fine though the radio is a bit hard to see.
I love every inch of this car !

Smile New Touring

I finally saw another Touring here in Las Vegas today. A shiny new RED A/T driven by a middle aged gentleman. Our own Gray Touring now has 1800 miles and I'm getting ready for a 800 mile trip to Visalia California the first weekend in October. All is well with it and it does turn heads in traffic. A keeper!
