Default Can the rear parking sensor alarm be disabled?

I just bought a 2008 Entourage. Rides great so far. But, I live where I do a lot of parallel parking and I don't need the rear parking alarm going off every time I park. Can the alarm be disabled or muted? I didn't see a separate fuse listed for it and the owner's manual does not have any information about turning off that system or alarm. Thank you all.

It looks like you might be able to reach up from under the dash to get to the buzzer:

Make sure your backup lights still work after you unplug it. I think they will, but check.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna check it out this weekend. The dealer rep said the back up alarm can be turned off by the service department through the on board computer, which seems more cumbersome than just disconnecting the wiring if that's possible. I'll let you know if it works.

I know it may be late. I bought my 2008 Entourage this month. The buzzer sounds when I put it in reverse. Can you disable it? Where exactly is the buzzer?

Regards.
