Changing rear wiper blade

Simple task, simple question maybe - but can anyone give me an idea of how to change the rear wiper blade? Picked one up from the dealer when passing by (found a thread about cheaper options a few minutes ago...), checked the manual and it suggest the dealer do it to avoid damaging parts.

If you bought a factory blade it actually replaces part of the arm itself. Just lift the arm slightly and pull the blade and arm off away from the pivot point. Look at the replacement blade and you will see.

LOL, thanks for the info Nova - that took all of 20 seconds. No idea why they don't explain that...

Remove the cover from the rear wiper blade

Step #2 .. Use a 12 mm socket to remove the nut in the middle and pull off the wiper arm. Now, this is just like changing the blade on the front wiper.

Here's a quick photo of the receiving arm to hold the new blade.

You do not have to remove the wiper arm from the vehicle to change the blade.

:)I'm sure you're right on that. I just thought that with my luck, I'd end up breaking something.:D

You're lucky you did not twist the nut off top of the shaft..

Did a Tucson today, raise blade off widow, pop the tiny blade off, snap new blade on,,,,,, all done

Here's the pics from my van. Just pull the arm up off the glass and while holding the rear part of the arm, pull the front half off.
