Default Accent 2012 clutch problem

Hi All,
I have an Accent 2012 GLS manual transmission and the clutch pedal went limp. When you depress it the slave cylinder pin moves very little.
I am thinking the master cylinder is the problem here and want to replace both the Master and Slave cylinders at the same time.
Question is am i diagnosing the problem correctly and how difficult a task is this? Any tips and advice would be very welcome.
Thanks in advance.

We always check some things before condemning parts.
Since you didn't say, what is the level in the clutch master cyl look like?

hanky,
The reservoir is shared with the brake reservoir and the level is good.

Yes.
The brake master and clutch master draw from the same reservoir. The reservoir is situated above the brake master and there is a pipe off the right hand side that leads down to the Clutch master.

The Brake pedal is working just fine.
The clutch just has no tension at all - i can push it down to the floor with my hand.

If the level in the shared reservoir is good, there has to be a separate master cyl just for the clutch. That is where I believe the problem is located.

Hanky,
Thanks. That was my thoughts too. There is a separate master for the clutch, its just doesnt have a reservoir attached to it. I was going to replace this first and then see if it operates correctly. If not replace the slave too.

I believe you are on the right trail replacing both. Every time the master operates so does the slave. Do it all and do it once.
