I have a 2013 Genesis. There is a intermittent bell(ding) that goes off while driving. It will ding wait for a little and ding again. Sometimes this will ding 2-3 times and quit for maybe 2-3 weeks and then it will ding again. Do you have any ideas what this could be. I bought this car with only 12,000 miles on it and it has been doing this for about 2 years.

What information has your service dealer told you about this?

 

Basically, they said it might be a ghost. They haven't a clue. When it goes off it is only one ding. It has done it as much as 6 times during a hour drive, sometimes just once, and most of the time never. There are no warning lights on in the dash. It has 31,000 miles on it now.
