Key Issue
I just bought a 2009 Hyundai Genesis. The dealer we bought the car from told us the port for the key was a charging port (I have since learned this is not the case). However, I put the key in the port & the key would not come out. I checked to see if the key was in correctly & it was --- but I could not get it out. I finally got the key out and now the key fob doesn't work & the car thinks the key is still inserted in the port. And the only way I can crank the car is by placing it in the port. It still doesn't want to come out of the port when I put it in. I've had this car for less than 2 days!!!

Make sure you press/push the remote in, then the remote should release from the port. the port is not a charging port. With remote removed does the remote still lock/unlock the doors?. Remote may have weak battery. The port is there for use only when battery fails in the remote. This way you still have a way to start vehicle. If still having problem, warranty to second owner is 5yr 60000 miles
