Hello, we have a hyundai matrix 1.5 CRDI 12v Diesel ~ we have had issues trying to get the motor to start from key, However when when we tow it with another car, it starts straight away ~ it's recently had a full on service new glowplugs oil change etc, the starter motor is turning the engine over fine but will not fire.

If anyone could suggest any ideas that would be great thanks!

Dear Andrew,

I found out, recently, that the 'starter key' has a built-in device that allows the engine to be able to run - I guess that if the key has been replaced, or is damaged in any way, that this could prevent 'key' start-up.

Hope this has been helpful (we are very fond of our Matrix and have been running it, here in Spain, since 2005 with no problems)
