Getting a squeak from the front passenger air vent area when I go over any little bumps or rough pavement. Anyone?

 

It happens sometimes, but not consistent enough, only enough to make me look like an idiot if I went to the dealership with it. It usually happens when its cold and the car hasn't warmed up yet, but goes away.

I've put an ear to it but haven't been able to tell exactly where its coming from, somewhere in the front dash though.

 

I had a similar problem and was told that Hyundai knows about this kind of squeak. To solve my problem they need to do either of those.

1-Removed the windshield and place a few rubber strips at the bottom of the windshield. Reinstalled the windshield. They can't do this on mine as I have a few rock chips and it would most likely cause the windshield to crack.

2- Take the dash off and fix it that way, I don't want this as it would cause way more squeaks to appears.

So I am waiting until I will change my windshield and have do at that time.
