A couple weeks ago, my windshield wipers and dash lights stopped working. The wipers had a blown fuse, but the dash lights are still out. Last night after parking the car, my wife came home and saw the right side tail light was on.

I found that when I turned on the headlights manually, that light went off when everything else went on, but when I turned the lights out, the right tail light came back on. I removed the bulb in order to not kill the battery.

I have found some mention on other sites saying the dash lights and the tail lights share some of the same circuitry and others had had similar issues, but no solutions.

Anyone have any Ideas?

Tiburons have a similar problem when the BCM (Body Control Module) starts to fail. The Santa Fe has a couple BCM's and that might be the issue. If it is, be prepared to shell out about $600 for a new one.

I finally found I had a blown fuse on the tail light. I replaced the fuse, then a few hours later, both tail lights were turning themselves on.

I'm assuming more blown fuses, but now I have to figure out what is blowing these fuses.
