I have a 2005 Santa Fe with the 2.7 V6, manual tranmission. It has 125,000 miles. After is sits for a few days (this last time was three days), it has a difficult time shifting out of first gear. When in automatic mode, it revs, and takes a bit to shift into 2nd gear. When in manual mode, it'll rev, then the engine flutters between 2k and 5k RPMs until I shift it into 2nd gear. It seems to have no problems shifting into 3rd or 4th, either in auto or manual mode. After a while, it seems like the transmission settles down, and it starts to shift normally. I haven't taken it in yet, but I'm worried that either the clutch or first gear might be going and will have to be replaced. Does any one have any ideas?
