2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 20Turbo towing capacity
Google shows different pages saying that it can two only 1,000 lbs. and others say 3,500 lbs. Does anyone know what is accurate and would that model have the towing package or is that something I would have to put on if I purchased that vehicle?
Also, does anyone here do any towing with this particular model? What do you tow with it?
Thanks for any info you might have.

The Santa Fe Turbo is a VERY different vehicle than the SantaFe GLS. The GLS has the V6 engine and has 7 seats. The frames are different even though the outward appearance is almost the same and herein lies the confusion. The turbo has the same towing capacity as a Sonata because it's built on the same frame. The Santa Fe GLS has a frame that outside the US was a different vehicle and is now the Palisade here in the US. The GLS (and the Palisade) have a much higher towing capacity.
Anyway, the Santa Fe turbo and the Santa Fe GLS are two totally different vehicles (but have the same name) so that accounts for the weight discrepancies you're seeing.
