Default 2016 touch screen/ head unit

Hello, I have just bought a new 2016 Santa Fe but I screwed up. I did not want that big glass roof so I did not get the ultimate package but I would like to install the 8" Nav/XM/touch screen head unit in the SUV.
Can this be done? Would it have the same plugs/connectors on the units?
Is 2013-2016 the same unit?
Thanks
Paul

I am going to offer a bit of advice from experience, you do not want to do this. The way these vehicles are designed makes it almost impossible to do this modification and get everything working properly. I would suggest buying a portable navigation unit because the cost of attempting this install will cost you thousands of dollars.

Oh ok I figured they were wired up all the same and just different components installed to match the options. I was hoping it would be a plug and play type swap. I figured all is the same except for the nav system,
Thanks for the info. All the aftermarket units do not come with XM from what I found

I have the base 2016 model, and of course there's no Apple CarPlay. Even if I had purchased it fully loaded I still wouldn't get the update. I purchased a Kenwood head unit that have CarPlay, HD radio, Garmin Navigation and a port to hook up a SiriusXM tuner and backup camera. It'll cost me less than $1500 including installation. I did look at the OEM headunits but I was told they don't come guaranteed with a warranty and don't have Apple CarPlay.
