ABS and TCS light

Hi...I have a hyundai santa fe 2005... My abs and Tcs light keep on coming on... can somebody tells me whats going on??

You have a fault in 1 or more of the many input/output circuits,, and the warning light is telling you "we have problem here"....

Need to have the ABS/TCS module(s) scanned for DTC and proceed from there.

A common problem is the stop lamp switch. That may or may not be the problem but it's one thing to check. There's a recall on it but 2005 doesn't appear to be part of that recall. See these threads for more info:

It could also be a broken tone ring in one of the front axles. See this thread:

Same thing was happening to me. It ended up being a cracked tone ring on the passenger side front tire. To check yours, jack the front end up and take both tires off. You'll see a toothed ring which the ABS sensor reads. Check it carefully and you may find that it's snapped somewhere or one of the teeth is missing. Good luck.

Maybe the caliper is leaking at the piston. Get it looked at ASAP.

I just checked the front tone wheels and one of them was crack..(driver side). the one on the passenger side is good....the ones on the back can't see them..cause the backing plates are there.......Santa fe keep on doing the same thing.....but i also found a leak on the rear tire (brake fluid) coming out of the brake hose.....(have to order the hose)....Does this have something to do with the ABS????

i don't know why i couldn't see the leak coming from the hose last week.... sorry

how can i check to tone wheels on the rear side?? can somebody please give me any advise...getting agravated when i can't see them... thanks very much........

can anybody show me how to chech the tone wheels on the rear axles.....with the plates on the way it's difficult......any advices are welcome:confused:

What's the ring made of? I'm thinking if they're steel, they can be touched with a mig welder to fix the crack instead of going thru the expense of replacement. Just a thought.
