Default cant get 40 mph

Hello,

I have a 2003 Santa Fe. I was driving along at 55 mph when I came to a stop sign. I stopped and when I restarted there was no power. I push the throttle and it was like the motor booged down. I can let off the throttle and let it shift and I can get it up to 40 mph but it has to shift through all the gears first. I took it to a auto parts store and they put a code reader on it and nothing showed up? Any suggetions?

I'd go to a mechanic. I think the auto parts store reader might be faulty.

I have recently had a similar problem on my 2001 2.7 GLS SF. are your RPMs topping out at around 3500? if so you may have a clogged cat. to add to this i also did not have any codes come up since it was on the 3rd cat before muffler where there are no sensors.
