Default Extremely warm inside vehicle

Hello,
I have a 2004 Santa Fe 2.7 V6. I've had it two years and it was taken care of well prior to my purchase. The issue I'm having is that, it seems to be running very hot. I know engine's get warm but, it seems a bit more than normal. I can feel heat coming through the vents on top of the dash. I can also feel it coming through the center vent. Could this be a barrier between the engine and dash that's worn out?. I've had an oil change, trans flush, along with new wires and plugs. I've also had the codes read and nothing comes back as to why I'm feeling all this heat. Thermostat is good, my temp gauge sits a little under the half mark and my radiator is good. I cant seem to figure out why it seems to be running hot but, it's not, if that makes sense. I appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Bstewart

Look at the climate controls and see if the set temperature is set to warm or hot.

Do you have the air vents open? Maybe it is letting heat from the engine into the passenger compartment?
Heat shield is usually inside of the passenger compartment.
It doesn't fall out or wear out.

Feeling it in the vents ??
