Default Fluid confusion!

Hi to everyone. I am confused about the transmission fluid rerquirement for my Santa Fe. I need to have the fluid changed (badly). However, I just cannot afford the dealership charge for this service. Iunderstand that the Hyundai transmission fluid is an SP3, and understand that this fluid or its equivalent must be used so as not to void the warranty. I have been told that the Dexron III is a compatible equivalent to use, but I can't find confirmation of that anywhere. Does anyone know?

Use only SP-III transmission fluid from Hyundai, Kia or Mitsubishi. Dexron/Mercon III should never be used, even if a bottle of Lubegard Red is added.

I used Castro for Imports for MY 2005 (as recommended by Advanced Auto Parts).... Seemed to do OK ...... Pep Boys had the best price ......
