Default Headlights

Has anyone noticed the very short range of the low beam headlights on dark roads, maybe 20' out.
I have tried to adjust them up but it seems to make little difference. I must use high beams for more distance and flick them off when cars approach.

It may be time to replace the bulbs
They are not suppose to dim with age but in reality, they do somewhat.
High beams are used much less and remain quite bright.
So to not blind others, return your low beams back to the correct adjustment and buy brighter bulbs.
They have standard brightness, 30% brighter, 60% brighter and 100% brighter
The brighter they burn the shorter their life.

Thanks, I'll try a set of brighter bulbs even though mine have had very little use in the year since I bought it new. Do you recommend any brand name? I would maybe go with the 60% bulbs.

I did the same. Went with 60% brighter
But, really 100% does better to light up the road.

I see a bunch on assorted types E bay....I know I don't want the blue white bulbs !
I rotated the adjustment screws counter clockwise several turns it did nothing to raise the beams. {20' out-front is the max} I like the looks of the lower mounted headlights but they are unsafe in the dark. Another negative to me and others I have read is the low mounted rear turn signals.

Luv my S-F but...It's amazing that Hyundai did not install brighter bulbs when Mfg. the car. Could it be $$ related, the low beam lighting is unsafe on dark roads. Found out changing the bulbs is a PITA.

I ordered a set of #905 low beam LED bulbs on eBay and received them after a week, by the way each bulb has a cooling fan built in. Yesterday I installed them. I must say it was a (*&^%$#&U^%$# miserable job to get at and remove plus install the new ones. The result was worth the pain and scrapes to my hands. {tiny hands would help} anyway the super bright LED white light makes a huge difference, I tested them out last night. Now my fog lights and bright lights look yellow in comparison. No way in "H" will I attempt to change out the low down high beam halogen bulbs with LEDs. By the way the LED bulbs are much less X-pensive than Halogen at auto stores.

Default Question

Hi SUV lover,
I have the same problem with my low beam lights- they are so low at night that I use the high beam while driving. We replaced them with the originals but that didn’t worked.
How long your “super bright LED white lights” lasted? I asked my boyfriend to get them but he thinks those lights will not work out neither.
