how long have you gone before you change timing belt?
On my 2002 santa fe v6 i gone 198.00 miles when i changed my timing belt for the first times and i have driven 98 miles since, but i no i been lucky so I'm going to change it now.. how long have any one else gone? I also changed my spark plugs at the same time to!!!!!! Best reliable car i have ever had....
What you neglected to tell everyone is that you HAD to change the timing belt at 198,000 miles because it broke:

And that was AFTER you were warned. Going more than 60,000 miles on a belt is foolish and asking for trouble.
Yes, they are reliable cars but they are even more reliable when you maintain them properly.

I bought a 2005 Santa Fe with the 2.7L engine with about 127,000 miles on it. Not knowing when the timing belt had been changed, I had it changed at around 140,000 miles. And yes, the old belt was cracking and obviously worn. So we guessed that it looked like the original belt.
