"New" 2001 Santa Fe - just bought it last night.
Has a little over 70,000 miles, and is the newest looking 9 year old car I have ever seen that actually spent time on the road. Bought it from a local Huyndai dealer, same one we bought our Elantra from 10 years ago. Seems to have had all the care possible to give a SUV - has the faded paint in spots, and light rust on the wiper arms, which seems pretty universal, but other than that it looks and drives like a new one.
Color is "Merlot", kind of a maroon - it's the 4wd V6 with cloth seats.
It was made August 24 2000, so it was a pretty early '01.

Thanks - the ad in this thread showed a Jetta, and our old Passat
was part of the deal for the Santa Fe.
The Passat was a complete disaster - huge repair bills and totally unreliable junk.
My 5th VW and certainly my last.
We will stick with Hyundais from now on.
