My friend has a 2003 Santa Fe. When you lock the doors either with the remote or the drivers side switch they remain locked about two seconds and immediately unlock. This does not however turn off the alarm. They only way I can get them to stay locked is by holding down the drivers door switch for about 10 seconds. Any ideas?

 

if you use the keys to lock it what happens? this may sound stupid but are you inside the car or outside the car?
