im trying to replace an alternator in a 2003 santa fe with a 2.7 v6. the only bolt left in it is the one on the right with a square head. i cant remove the bolt all the way because it gets backed into a c bracket attached to the trans. any suggestions?

 

its seems like the only way i can get this bolt is to remove the passenger side half shaft any one know?

 

hate reviving an old thread but nobody ever posted an answer to this.
the bolt at the bottom (that cant be removed from behind) is not actually inside anything. its just holding the alternator.
all you have to do is pick up the alternator. up and to the left. so you will be able to pick up the alternator and the bolt will come with it.
