Santa Fe 05 - Brake Pedal Activates side lights
Hi All,
I'm John from England. I'll post shortly in the Intro's section to formally introduce myself. However I have an annoying problem....
Recently purchased a 2005 European spec Santa Fe. When I got it home I noticed the off side and centre brake lights were not working, so changed the off side bulb (cannot change the centre one at this point due to lack of thin enough tool).
However, after a couple of days a problem has developed. When I press the brake pedal the brake lights work (except the centre one), but at the same time the front side lights and the dash lights also come on - but only temporarily when the brake pedal is depressed.
I am guessing a bad earth (ground?) connection somewhere but have checked behind both rear panels and the earth wires seem well screwed in on both sides.
Alternatively would a non functioning centre brake light cause this problem (although seems a bit of an extreme result for 1 non functioning bulb...and didn't occur when 2 bulbs were out)
Any clues or ideas?
Thanks,
John
