I drive a 2004,2.0 litre with 105k.on the clock. Just recently while driving, the engine cuts out and the Malfunction Indicator Light comes on, engine starts again after 2/3 minutes but the MIL stays on,MIL goes out if the car is parked for an hour or so.Any ideas what this could be and the approx. costs to put it right...many thanks,hornet.

 

Hard to say. Get the computer read for codes.

 

Took the car to an independent garage,was found to be a fuel injector which was replaced and now the car runs as normal.Total cost around £3oo.
