2003 Sonata storage
I am getting ready to store my son's 2003 Sonata 2.7 V6 for the next 10 months. I have filled the gas tank and placed the ethanol version of Stabil in the full tanks and have driven it around a couple of days to get the whole fuel system involved.
Here is the main question. Can I fog the engine like I do my boat motor for the winter? I know my boat is carburated and does not have a mass air sensor, but will just one fogging adversely affect the intake system, or will it have more benefit in the long run?
On my boat, I bring up the idle and and start spraying until it stumbles or dies. If no techs think this is a bad idea, I am going to go for it.
Thanks,
Daniel

FYI, I went to the Huyndai dealership today and talked to a mechanic about fogging the engine. He said not to worry about it, and just drive it a couple of times over the winter and spring instead. The engine should be just fine. No worse than a used car sitting in a lot for an extended period of time.
