2004 lx still learning but apparently i have an aftermarket rear spoiler on the sonata, nothing big or gaudy but when you go to close lid it basically slams down no problems staying open but wondering if there is a heavier duty liftgate struts available? Many thanks for any help

 

rockauto.com or any local parts store should have something that'll work for you.

 

I checked with the dealer and 2 local companies and was told there was nothing available. hoping someone else has had same prob and a solution

 

for trunk struts? c'mon man, of course the dealers going to say that. that's why i said to check online. i'll bet that someone makes an aftermarket strut that'll work for you. check these guys out, carry a variety of struts for all cars. i use the strong arm ones, but i bet they have heavier duty ones that your looking for. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qty-2-Strong...cc4141&vxp=mtr

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately, all of our stronger supports are compressed to 8.25 which is an inch longer than OEM. I am not sure they would fit.
