My trunk lid no longer lifts when unlocked. I imagine this is the hydraulic lift not operating. Is this a fairly easy replacement job or a trip to the service center advisable. Thanks

 

Neither does mine but it never has. Are you saying that it used to lift up on it's own but stopped doing it? From everything I've read the Sonata trunk lid does not lift up on it's own even partially. The lifts just assist in lifting it up and keep it upright when open.
