Im having problems with controlling my iPhone 4 playlist via the steering wheel controls on my 2012 Sonata. When I have it plugged in (using an official Hyundai connection cable, not a standard iphone/ipod cable) I get the "Accessory not optimized..." message on my iphone screen. From what I have read that is fairly normal? But when I try to change tracks from the steering wheel nothing happens. This also occurs when streaming via blue tooth (minus the accessory message). Is anyone else having this problem/have a fix? Thanks!

 

I had the same issue. I dont understand why but per dealer the 2012 doesn't work with that cable! Just use your regular USB wire and all buttons will work. Also, cannot control through Bluetooth. Nothing you can do about that!!
