Passenger Seat on our 2013 Sonata Limited sits a good 2 inches below the drivers seat and is not adjustable up and down. Is this normal or did last owner maybe modify it? There is an after market kit that would raise it up 1.5" or so. Suggestions?

 

Does the vehicle have an electrically adjustable seat on the driver's side ? If so , dimension comparison readings can be inaccurate.
What may really have happened,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,a pretty heavy person may have occupied the passenger seat repeatedly and the seat just wasn't built to handle the load.

 

Understood. The drivers side seat is electrically adjustable and is raised up but even without reference to to that seat sitting in the passenger seat is just too low, making one feel like a child. The difference just doesn't make sense.

 

That is one of the complaints I hear quite often, Hyundai seats !!
