Default 2020 Hyundai Sonata w/ tech package infotainment screen overheat in direct sunlight

Hi! I recently bought a 2020 Sonata as my first new car, and today I've encountered my first problem. My screen will repeatedly have a "ghost touch" that will either tap repeatedly or hold, both only happening in one spot consistently, thus removing my ability to use the touch screen in any meaningful way. I believe it's because it's too hot and registering a touch in that area. It's super sunny and about 80 degrees F here. I've been able to reduce the problem by blasting the A/C on LO for my whole drive, but I got the sunroof and by god I'm gonna use it. My question is: Have y'all encountered this issue before? What did you do to fix or mitigate it? And was the dealership any help? So far my dealership has told me to just let it sit and cool off, which is really all they can do right now I suppose. So before I commit to bringing it in for potentially pointless service, what do y'all recommend?

My Hyundai Sonata 2020 also had a screen problem but different than your. All of my hazard lights came on in the dashboard while driving on the highway. I'm wondering if the heat now played a part in that. My problem is, they did not turn back off. The cruise control stopped working so I called Bluelink and they told me to get it to a service center. Today officially marks 2 weeks in the Hyundai service center. They have literally told me the technology is so new to them, they do not know how to fix it. I started a case with Hyundai corporation and have a feeling this is going to become a lemon law suit. I loved the car up until now (I've had it 6 months). I would definitely warn anyone thinking of buying one not to do so, because if there is a problem, the solution is probably a long ways off.

Suggest you keep all records of what and when you reported the problem to Hyundai . If it gets out of warranty and they come up with a solution , the record is there to prove it was not taken care of during the warranty period. What do you think?
