Auto A/C behaves strangely in '06 Sonata LX
Sometimes the compressor is obviously running when there are no A/C indicators and Auto is not engaged. I would expect it to run only when the A/C icon shows or when Auto is engaged.
to elaborate:
If running Auto, the A/C icon does not show, and the A/C button light do not come on until the temperature is adjusted to LO. The compressor obviously runs, but those indicators are not active. If then, the fan speed is manually adjusted, Auto goes off, but the compressor continues to run. Still no indicators. At this point, in order to stop the compressor, you must push the A/C button, lighting it, then push again, stopping the compressor and killing the light.
