OK so I changed the motor in my 09 hyundai sonata yesterday, after everything it ran smooth, now it's in safe mode. Hooked it up to computer and it says code 0888 loss signal. I'm assuming it bcuz I unhooked the computer and ideas on how to get it out of safe mode.

 

The code P0888 is for limp home mode.
Transmission is stuck in 2nd gear.

Sometimes it is a transmission control relay that is causing the problem
or it could be the associated wiring.

You should look up youtube and search for code P0888
That will give you more information on what to look for.
