Smile Drive Shaft replacement?

My sonata has started to ping and clang when turning
I was thinking duck tape and twine but the Hyundai service site claims to have a better way.
In my search for the problem I found the boot around the Double offset joint torn. I think this is where I begin but how much of the joint will I need to disassemble and replace? The service site seems strait forward, great pitcs but is there anything I should look out for, or be prepared for(special tools? ect) How long should this take

Can't say I actually ever tried to replace the bearing on the drive axle. Usually these days, the whole halfshaft is replaced as a unit. You can buy them in the US rebuilt for around $60. It's much easier for the DIYer.

What model car?
What year?
Which side?

Sonata doesn't have a rear shaft.
