Just found an aftermarket DRL kit that also adds 30 seconds ofdelayed lighting when you exit the vehicle for security lighting. I just ordered it and it seems very easy to install into the high beam circuit keeping with the Canadian Hyundai Sonata factory DRL's look. Once installed I will take pictures and post them here. I found the kit at www.autobarn.com. The kit is called Design Tech Reduced Intensity Daytime Running Lights for $29.95 US. Now if I could only find a way to light the floors when the doors are opened. I do alot of night driving and the interior lighting is so poor in these cars.

 

I installed the kit. Works great. You will notice that the high beam indicator will glow all the time when the DRL's are on since it feeds reduced power to the high beam circuit. My box came with no green wire loop which is supposed to be cut to remove the delayed/security lighting feature but I didn't care since I wanted that feature. The DRL module is mounted next to the battery with a short harness routed to the relay center. I taped the harness with black tape and routed it through a verysmall notch I cut out of the relay box edge. My connections to the system are all inside the relay center so I can remove it fast if needed ( warranty issues ). You can't tell it's even there when the cover is put back on the relay center. Looks factory since it's all black. I'm glad Hyundai gives you access to the wiring diagrams online. That really helped. You have to thank Hyundai for that. How convenient.
