This 03 Sonata will not accept fuel for more than a gallon causing the pump to turn off. This has been happening for the last week. What is the cause and is the cure simple?

 

I know it won't take gas if the motor is running. It's a safety thing

 

Try another station I would be interested to hear what happens ????

 

That's the 1st time Ive ever heard of something like that..If you find out a reason or if anyone else out there reading this have had this problem and know the answer, please post it for all to read>

Hi Guys,

Once had this promlem on another car. The problem then turned out to be a leaf had somehow got into the filler pipe and lodged on the filter in the neck. Had to take the filler pipe off to remove the leaf.

Maybe youv'e got the same problem.
