My 2006 Sonata V6 had the TPS replaced under warranty 15 months ago and now having the exact same problem again, can't accelerate, limped it home...They said it was the Electronic throttle control specifically the throttle position sensor. Now it is out of warranty I found out that the TPS cannot be replaced individually as it is integrated into the ETC...can anyone tell me how to successfully change out this unit myself? I have looked online and this seems to be a really common problem with these repeated failures but no recalls, only TSB's issued...really limited funds right now but dire need to get this fixed

 

You do not state the codes recovered.. need to know the codes to know how to effect a proper repair..

Supply the current recovered codes,,, we can talk shop then..


In regards to the prevoius repair,, I want you to find the invoice to that repair.. this will help me determine what was done for previous visit to shop

I want the C-C-R (complaint, cause, repair) as entered on the ticket, I need the part number of any related parts used, OP code (usually 5 characters, letter, 2characters after)..
